Itinerary:
The following itinerary is a sample, only for illustration to our guests. It is subject to changes according to logistical, tours and services availability.
Day 1:
Transportation: A professional driver will be waiting for you at any International Airport –San Jose or Liberia-. From San Jose prepare to enjoy the drive up to the Central Valley northern mountains as well as their panoramic views during the 2 hour and 30 minute land trip. From Liberia continue on the flatlands of the Guanacaste region and the Costa Rica’s weather variability as soon as you go through its different land altitudes towards the extensive and productive San Carlos plains.
Reception: Once in Baldi Resort Hotel & Spa, after checking in you will meet a package coordinator. He/she will revise your itinerary and will make the last minute changes and arrangements (if any) for dinner reservations and/or Spa Treatments and Massages. After that, our Host will take you to start the most pleasing experience while in Costa Rica. An exotic tropical fruit drink will light the spark of your stay at Baldi’s.
Fine Dining and Relaxation: Enjoy the reminder of the day by taking advantage of the therapeutic Thermal Springs at Baldi Resort Hotel & Spa and get into the roll of partaking in your dinning experience at Baldi’s Virgita Restaurant indulging your self with our delicious menu and a extensive variety of local and international dishes.
Day 2:
Morning: It is your first full day in the Arenal region. After taking breakfast at the restaurant, you will be meet at the Baldi Aqua-Spa for the Body Massage or Treatment of your predilection, previously chosen. Once this relaxing and energetic experience has taken place, indulge yourself into the 3.5 acre gardens, rest and recuperate in any of our 25 available pools, and prepare for an exiting tour in the afternoon.
Midday Lunch and Explorations: After taking an exquisite lunch at Virgita restaurant, the tour company representative will meet you in the reception area to bring you to the exiting destination of your preferred half –day adventure. We recommend a rainforest adventure. This rainforest inspiration with magnificent views of the volcano and the Arenal Lake. Also the opportunity of admire the diversity of exotic tropical birds, the local wildlife, flora and the forest’s history shown and described by a professional tour guide.

This beautiful world-class rafting rivers abound here in Costa Rica. This is an ideal half-day tour because it is close in the area and you will not spend too much time traveling to and from it. This tour is recommended for people between seven (7)and sixty five (65) years old, whether you are a first timer or an expert.

The brilliant green waters, the numerous brightly colored birds and a delicious freshly prepared "river lunch"on an inviting riverbank makes this an unforgettable experience.

1- El Refugio* Caño Negro by Boat:
The Real Caño Negro: The wildlife reserve Cano Negro is one of the most important reserves for incredible bird watching and observation of wildlife in Cost Rica. Cano Negro is also home for numerous animals and tropical plants. After a welcome drink and snack, we slowly and silently cruise to this exceptional national refuge in our comfortable boat where you can enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna. Up on return you will be served a typical delicious lunch at the El Caiman Restaurant nicely located on the riverbank of Rio Frio river.

This trip is an inviting variation from a regular Caño Negro Day Tour. Explore the wildlife refuge by canoe and paddle down Rio Frio or Los Patos River. This tour is exclusively for those who would like to see a wide range of wildlife.

3 Rio Celeste Hike:
This unique hike combines nature’s beauty with a great opportunity to observe the wonderful flora and fauna. During our hike through the Tenorio Volcano National Park we pass by the Celeste River Lagoon and walk along two crystal clear streams coming together to form the Rio Celeste. Here the clear water mysteriously change into a beautiful bright , light blue color (hence the name ‘Light Blue River"). The stunning colored Rio Celeste Waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshment swim in its natural pools.

4 Cerro Chato Hike:
We begin this tour with a minibus ride around Arenal Volcano to the Observatory Lodge Hotel. At this point we will start the steep hike to the summit of "Cerro Chato". We will walk down to the green lagoon and the old volcano crater, a perfect spot for taking pictures and discover surroundings. Afterwards we will visit La Fortuna waterfall for a refreshing swim.

Itinerary:
The following itinerary is a sample, only for illustration to our guests. It is subject to changes according to logistical, tours and services availability.
Our Package Coordinator will meet you at Baldi’s Resort reception area at 10.00 in the morning to accommodate your package reservation details and the tour company representative will bring you to the exiting destination of your preferred half –day adventure. A rainforest inspiration with magnificent views of the volcano and the Arenal Lake. Also the opportunity of admire the diversity of exotic tropical birds, the local wildlife, flora and the forest’s history shown and described by a professional tour guide.
We have many different options for you to enjoy, within which you can find:
1- White Water Rafting:
This beautiful world-class rafting rivers abound here in Costa Rica. This is an ideal half-day tour because it is close in the area and you will not spend too much time traveling to and from it. You will see many kinds of birds, lots of rainforest wildlife and magnificent views of the Arenal Volcano.
This tour is recommended for people between seven (7)and sixty five (65) years old, whether you are a first timer or an expert.

2- Safari by Kayak:
This tour is great for experiencing the beautiful native Costa Rican flora and fauna, while learning basic kayak techniques, along this great river. Your tour guide will identify and provide information about many different species of plants and animals. While you kayak along this slowly flowing river, you may observe animals like reptiles, sloths, monkeys, otters and an incredible amount of colorful tropical birds all well hidden in the tropical rainforest.

Enjoy this relaxing nature tour by starting with a brief instruction in paddling by our experienced guide to ensure your safety and comfort. Floating downriver by canoe you will enjoy both the slow pace of the river and the peace of the surrounding rainforest.
The brilliant green waters, the numerous brightly colored birds and a delicious freshly prepared "river lunch" on an inviting riverbank makes this an unforgettable experience.
